Program Description

Event Details

This one-hour course will tell the story of the Edmund Fitzgerald, a Great Lakes freighter that sank during a storm on Lake Superior.  The vessel had a crew of twenty-nine men, all of whom were lost when the freighter seemingly disappeared on November 10, 1975.  We will also learn about the history of the vessel that was traveling near the Edmund Fitzgerald when it was lost, the Arthur M. Anderson.  This course will be presented with the help of a PowerPoint.  The PowerPoint will include highlights of the instructor's lecture, as well as photos of and from the Edmund Fitzgerald.  The lecture will last approximately 45 minutes, with 15 additional minutes for Q and A.
