Blind Bid Sale – Tamarack Room Furniture

We’re taking blind bids on the old tables, chairs, and carts from the Tamarack Room! Available items: 4 tables, 1 table cart, 55 chairs, 4 chair carts.

Stop by the Tamarack District Library front desk to fill out your blind bid form. Indicate the item(s) you want, how many, and your price per item. The highest bid for each item will receive the quantity they requested, and remaining items will be awarded to the next highest bids until everything is sold. Bids accepted until December 12, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. In-person bids only at Tamarack District Library ~all items are as is.

The mission of the Tamarack District Library is to provide materials and services that fulfill the recreational, informational, educational and cultural needs of the entire community in an atmosphere that is welcoming, respectful and businesslike.

Who Do We Serve

The Tamarack District Library (TDL) is located at 832 S. Lincoln Ave. TDL serves the citizens of Cato, Hinton and Pine Townships along with the Lakeview Community School District including portions of Belvidere, Douglass, Maple Valley, Millbrook and Winfield Townships.

TDL is a part of the Lakeland Library Cooperative.

Our History

The Library's history goes back to a Literary Club of Lakeview formed in 1915; Adelaide Bale was chosen as the leader. In 1964 it became the Cato Township library then transitioned to the Tamarack Public Library in 1980 as it was serving parts of 7 townships. The library became the Tamarack District Library in 2002.
