Discover the story of the 1927 Bath School Disaster with local historian George Robson, whose family lived through this tragic event. Ninety-nine years later, George’s research connects personal memories with historical insight.
This one-hour presentation will be followed by a 30-minute question-and-answer session.
This day marks the 99th anniversary of the Bath School Massacre of the first school bombing in the United States and the world’s first suicide car bombing–that occurred at the Bath Consolidated School in Bath Township, Michigan. Join us and learn about this (still to date) deadliest school massacre that was overshadowed by news of its time such as Charles Lindbergh flying solo across the Atlantic from North America to Paris. Presenter George Robson has very close ties to this historic disaster as his parents were students of the Bath Consolidated School at the time and survived to tell their stories.
